The foam roller was recommended to me by a girl at my local running store, Roadrunner Sports. My hamstring and IT band have been giving me problems lately. I woke up after my 15K with pain alongside my knee indicating a worsening IT band. It hurt me all week, so I rested and didn't run for a week. Every day I iced it and used the roller. Rolling on my IT band hurt like heck, but I think I finally worked out the problem and now I feel fine!
