Let's get it started....in hereLike Pavlov's dogs, when I hear that song now, my adrenaline increases. I can feel my heartbeat start to increase a bit and I am ready to go. The other day, I was driving in my car and it came on the radio. I instantly felt that anxious feeling in my chest (that same feeling you feel right at the beginning of a race).
And the base keep runnin' runnin', and runnin' runnin', and runnin' runnin', and runnin' runnin', and
runnin' runnin', and runnin' runnin', and runnin' runnin', and runnin' runnin', and...
In this context, there's no disrespect, so, when I bust my rhyme, you break your necks.
We got five minutes for us to disconnect, from all intellect collect the rhythm effect.
Obstacles are inefficient, follow your intuition, free your inner soul and break away from tradition.
What song gets you going??
I am running another half marathon tomorrow. It will be my fourth in 30 days and I am pretty excited about it. It is in Fontana, which is east of here, toward the desert. It is going to be HOT. However, the course is all downhill. I am hoping to run under 1:50 and hopefully a new PR. We'll see how I do with the heat. I am charging up my iPod, although I don't think I need Fergie to get me excited. I am ready to get it started.
Have a wonderful weekend.

Wow, the fastest half marathon course in the world! I need to get me some of that! :) Good luck! Have fun!
They played that PEP song at the starting line of my first marathon--I'll always remember that!
Good luck and stay cool at your half!!
It's a scorcher today out here and tomorrow's supposed to be hotter. It's usually not too bad around 7 or so (is that the time the race starts?).
We'll probably pass each other on the 91. I'm leaving for Camp Pendleton at 5 a.m.... although it might be easier to take the 15 all the way down... hmm.. we'll see. I'm bummed I won't get to run Fontana though, even more since you're running it. Next year though I'm making this part of my racing calendar.
Oh, and songs... Metallica songs get me all riled up! There are a few songs that remind me of races or moments during races - Sonic Youth's Winners Blues for instance reminds me of the start of the Ragnar Relay - but most of Metallica's old stuff are songs I've listened to during runs and races quite a bit.
Good luck with your race. Fingers crossed for sub-1:50
Hope it went well today out in the heat Lisa!
i love pump-me-up songs :) hope your half went well!!
Uprising by Muse.
Things have been busy for me, so I haven't had a chance to catch up with everything until this week!!!
