Today I am 43. Yikes… seeing it in writing makes me feel OLD.
I ran my first race at age 40 (the Iron Girl 10K in San Diego). I ran my first marathon at age 41 (as well as my first and second half marathons). I ran my second and third marathons when I was 42 years old (along with various other fun races).
So what does this next year hold? This year I hope to run my first ultra marathon, a 50k. I also hope to qualify for Boston. Those are some pretty big goals. Wish me luck!

Feliz Cumpleaños!
You're a pretty determined runner so I have the utmost faith that you will reach your goals this year!! Ambitious, but attainable for sure.
Happy Birthday! Sounds like you are just getting started! ;) I ran the IronGirl 10k in San Diego last year too! Are you planning on doing it again this year? Hope you have an enjoyable day...CELEBRATE! :)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY! The best is yet to come! Have a great day, eat lots of cake, and have a wonderful year to come!
Happy, happy birthday! I hope you meet all of your goals this year. I am 44, so I know how you feel--just not the same thrill as when we were younger, huh? I actually did a post yesterday on the topic of age.
Big goals, yes. But i have a feeling YOU won't have any problems meeting and then exceeding said goals. :-) HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LISA!!!
You young kids talking about old. Pshah!
Happy birthday Lisa!
Happy birthday!
That's a nice set of goals and I can honestly see you achieving all of those!
Happy Birthday! Keep on setting those goals - they keep you young.

Happy birthday!!! And good luck with your goals!
Happy Birthday (again) Lisa...I have no doubt that you'll accomplish all that you put your mind to!
Hope you had a great day!
Happy Birthday a day late!
I hope you had a wonderful birthday... and a wonderful 43rd year. You're so inspiring and I have no doubts that you'll be successful at reaching your goals.
Happy belated birthday!! Great accomplishments too!!
Happy Birthday!
Ultra is crazy...but why not!?
Happy birthday!
I think you can easily do both of those. The Boston goal might take even more speed work than you've done in the past, but it'll be worth it! You've already got the natural talent, and you already know you could stay at the middlepackgirl B&B (just ask Lindsay, we take good care of you, including door-to-door service with the marathon morning.) LOL
