Mom to Marathon: shout out to Jenn on her half marathon!

One of my blogger buddies, Jenn, is running, strike that-- ran-- the Chicago Distance Classic today. I know you're done by now. I hope you had a great run!!

Why This Blog?

My Story--
On New Year's Eve 2007 I had an epiphany of sorts. We were playing a game called "Imaginiff" with some friends. The point of the game is to answer questions about the other people playing the game. A question was about me and it was, "imagine if Lisa could solve any of the mysteries of the world, what would it be..." My answer (along with my husband, Kenny's) was "where do the missing socks go in the dryer?" Everyone else thought I would say, "why was Stonehenge built." Tracy looked at me and said,"that's not the Lisa I know..."
Now... don't get me wrong, the fact that my life consists of all things relating to my family doesn't bother me. I have absolutely no regrets about quitting my job and staying home with these two beautiful kids. What was odd was that I had changed in a way I thought I never would. This blog and my goals of this year are my way to expand, just a little, and seek meaning in the world beyond the socks in the dryer.
